Nicolas Show Monday & Tuesday, June 6th & 7th, 2005 Schadia, the Nazeem Allayl Dance Company & Nazeem Alsabah Dance Company will be putting on a FABULOUS hour long show at Nicola's Lebanese Restaurant. The restaurant is located at 1602 LaVista Rd., NE (At the corner of Briarcliff and Lavista). We normally sell over 100 tickers per show (120 max), so make sure to get your tickets early, as we sell assigned seats, and the better seats go quickly Tickets are $20 and can be purchased in advanced from Schadia. The price includes both the show AND a delicious dinner - with your first drink and dessert. The door opens at 7:00pm (!) & dinner is served shortly thereafter. The show will begin at 8:00pm. Nicola, the restaurant owner, danced himself in his youth in Lebanon. He is a strong supporter of the belly dance community, and consequently he opened his restaurant for local belly dance studio's on special days for a dinner and a belly dance show. For the small cover charge, you get to eat a mezza plate (your choice of meat or vegetarian) which is a sampler plate of middle eastern cuisine, including all time favorites such as hummus and Baba Ghanoush, and see an hour show of some of the best and exiting belly dancing in the shouth east. Afterwards, the dance floor is open to everyone, which is great fun. You can support your dancers by clapping, or join in. Nicola at this point will remember his dance moves and delight the guests with some of the most entertaining tricks you'll ever saw.

Hommos

A dip made from chick peas with a touch of garlic, lemon, and sesame-oil dressing.

Artichoke Hearts

Artichoke heart prepared and broasted according to our special recipe.

Falafel

A deliciously seasoned patty prepared from ground and dried vegetables, served with sesame dressing, tomato, and lettuce.

Baba Ghanoush

A dip made from eggplant, with a touch of garlic, lemon, and sesame oil dressing.

Fattoush

A delightful salad! Fresh garden vegetables tossed with toasty bits of pita bread. An age-old recipe from the mountains of Lebanon.

Tabbouleh

One of the foremost salads of Lebanon made from finely chopped parsley, burghol (wheat germ), tomatoes and onions. Tossed with olive oil and lemon juice and flavored with secret spices.

Where will I sit? Assigned Seating We have a map of the seating arragements. Each seat is numbered, and each table is marked with a character. When purchasing a ticket, you can pick from the remaining available seats and are then assigned these seats. That way, parties are guaranteed to sit together, and the early birds will have the best seats in the house. Where possible, we stage our dances in a manner that every table can see the dancer. In particlar, we make sure that the student troupe's choreography involves circular turns around the stage, so that every one can take great pictures of their favorite belly dancer. May I take pictures? Yes, you are encouraged to take great pictures, and we even offer to post the great ones on our website for free. May I videotape the show? No, you may not. Most of the choreographies were created by members of Nazeem Allayl, and we reserve all rights for them. However, we do videotape the show and create nicely edited videos of the show for sale at our studio about 2 weeks after the show in limited quantities (with the proper copyrights).
